SAS - Dogs of War

Post  Versago on Mon Mar 19, 2012 6:44 am

After Saturday night I got the impression that people are definately interested in setting up an SAS Chronicle at some point.

So let this be an area where we can discuss the characters which will eventually form up the squad, this will give us a good idea of of how the squad will function tactically as well as determining things like rank and even the coveted title of squad leader!

I'll kick things off with a character I'd be keen to play as:

Name: Vladilena "Leina" Borzakovsky
Sex: F
Age: 29
Class Sniper

Russian born US citizen. She lacks in close quarter combat but excels in Sniping as well as Hacking and Stealth.

Main Weapon: PSG-1
Damage: 4 (8 again)
Capacity: 20+1
Range: 250/500/1000
Armour Piercing: 3

Side Arm: H&K MK .23
Damage: 3
Capacity: 12+1
Range: 30/60/120
Note: Comes with Flashlight and Laser attachment

Merits

Sniper: 5
Quick Draw: 1

I'd like to know other peopl'es ideas for characters, as well as thoughts on how the squad should work.

O_O

Also I believe Tom wanted a character with a shotgun and a combat machete. Proper close quarters shizzle.

Yeah he made that character. We both made the stats give us 9 dice for weapons; my p90s and his shotgun

Looks cool to me! I think you are mssing 1 dot under social though. I think I'll add some accessories to my guns otherwise I could be left in very dark situations with no torches. I hope we only come accross living enemies. I don't know what we'll do if we come accross ones impervious to bullets (vamps, spirits (shadows?)etc). Mike was talking about spirit bullets that may crop up but they would be few and far between, and mags using flat storage technology so theres a portal at the bottom of the mag allow you to have have a 500 round clip in a glock, but when it loses power your bullet supply is gone.

Ah so I am, well spotted! I forgot to mention but my side arm will have the laser/torch attachment. I agree that supernatural beings will be an issue butvamps are still succeptable to heard/heart shots. Hopefully that is where I will be useful as hitting small targets will be my specialty :p.

Have you read the bit of fiction at the beginning of armoury? I didnt read it to the end so I don't know if what the 'mad guy' actually was in WoD terms, but he took 2 shots to the forehead and it did nothing other than annoy him. Hoping we don't meet any of whatever the hell he is. Are you going to pack any explosive rounds with that rifle? I'm assuming they exist in the game.

That's true Jo, I was hoping to have some indendiary/explosive rounds but they don't appear to exist. Sad

I think I'll end up packing some thermite grenades incase we need to melt things/people/creatures.
